Connections has become an indispensable annual programme, blending the extraordinary talent and commitment of thousands of young people and their directors all over the country with the work of some of our leading writers. The results never fail to excite and inspire.'
-- Nicholas Hytner, Director, National Theatre

Thirteen years ago, the National Theatre launched the Connections programme. Designed to encourage schools and youth theatres from all over the UK and Ireland to produce new plays, the programme has and continues to commission some of the best playwrights of our time to write plays specifically for young performers. Connections has generated more than 80 new plays, and hundreds of thousands of young people have been involved in this trailblazing programme.

DNA is the play selected by TLS Community Arts College. It will be presented on this occasion at the Lindsey Theatre and, hopefully, will be selected to go forward to the Regional Festival at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in Scarborough.
